Thank you for
supporting the mission of the Blood Center of New Jersey. Thanks to you
and the thousands of other volunteer blood donors over the years, the
Blood Center of New Jersey will be celebrating its 60th
anniversary next year!
Today we are asking
for your help to purchase a new bloodmobile. Our three bloodmobiles today
log in more than 11,000 miles each year and have over 100,000 miles on
them. It is time to replace them.
The Blood Center of
New Jersey Foundation has been running golf outings to raise money for
this project for several years and has raised almost half the funds
necessary. The goal is to purchase a new state-of-the-art bloodmobile by
our 60th year anniversary – October 2007. The new bloodmobile
will allow us to collect more whole blood and components from generous
donors in a more relaxed and comfortable setting. An exciting addition
will be a layout to accommodate platelet apheresis donors and Alyx (double
red cell) donors.
